It’s Superbowl Sunday and time for some football. Although my team is not in it we will still be watching it. Willie can’t get enough football. Seriously. He can watch ESPN for days. Football is his life. Anyways, Dorothy over at Crazy For Crust shared this great recipe and I love it. It’s perfect for a football party and oh so delicious. It’s guaranteed to be a hit. Just look at it, it’s football shaped dip!
- 1 cup peanut butter
- ¼ cup softened butter
- 4 ounces softened cream cheese
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
- ½ cup chocolate chips
- Chocolate sprinkles
- White icing
First, you mix the peanut butter, butter, and cream cheese using a hand mixer. Then add in the vanilla. Next you add the powdered sugar, only a ½ cup at a time. You can add another half cup is the mixture is too soft. Add the chocolate chips then put the mixture on a wax paper and form into the shape of a football. Sprinkle the chocolate sprinkles on the mixture and write out the white lines on the football dip with the white icing. Put it on a plate and add pretzels and you’ve got the perfect Superbowl/football party dip.
So there we have it. If you need an easy and fast football party dish, just whip up this dip, it only takes about 15 minutes. This dip will probably be the best part of the Superbowl this year. Who likes the Patriots and the Seahawks??? No one in my house. We are still waiting for the Cleveland Browns to make it to the Superbowl. It will happen one day…maybe, probably not.
