DIY Wood & Copper Coffee Table

DIY Wood & Copper Coffee Table From Above

It’s been about two years since we’ve owned a coffee table. Two years before I finally got around to making a coffee table. I don’t know why it’s so hard to decide on one but it seems to be one of the most difficult pieces of furniture. Do I want an ottoman, do I want a chest, do I want a modern piece? Taking a trip to Home Depot with Willie is exactly what I needed to do. We decided on wood and copper. Originally, I wanted galvanized pipes instead of copper because it would match our dining chairs but it was a lot more expensive than the copper. So I figured if I wanted, I could paint the copper. I haven’t painted it yet because I think the copper looks good in our living room, but maybe sometime in the future it will get a new look. So here is how to build a wood and copper coffee table, you can get everything you need from Home Depot. Plus, there is NO CUTTING needed for the wood! There is, however, a bit of cutting involved for the copper but it’s super easy to do, trust me!

Prep It

Cut It

  • 3 copper pieces at 18.5″
  • 4 copper pieces at 15″
  • 4 copper pieces at 20″

Do It

I thought I’d follow my marble entryway table and make some plans that can be printed or saved to your phone/computer. I find it so much easier for DIYs that involve more parts or wood when you have everything you need in one place, not spread out through an entire blog post page. Let me know if you like these kinds of plans. I plan to do them for all the wood projects that make their way to my blog. And yes I did draw out everything in blue, I find it more personable.

DIY Wood & Copper Coffee Table Plans

Walah! An easy, modern yet chic, coffee table! It’s really as easy as 1-2-3. We designed and threw together this bad boy in about an hour. I love how it turned out. If you find it too tall in your living room, you could always cut the 15″ legs to make them shorter. You want to go by how tall your couch is. If you recreate this, I would love to see it!
