DIY Seashell Placemat Purse

What if I told you that you can make a purse out of almost anything? Well, my friend, I’m pretty convinced you can. When I saw these placemats, I immediately knew I wanted to make a purse out of them. Thus, the DIY placemat purse was crafted. I’ll probably only be making purses out of placemats from now on…

Line up the placemats together then fold the tops down and out. Flatten them to create a crease.

Seriously, how freakin’ cute is this bag?! It’s sturdy too! I’ve been wearing it nonstop since I made it a week ago. I love how unique it is and how you wouldn’t guess that I made it out of placemats right off the bat. I think this placemat purse was a very successful DIY. Plus, it’s a lot cheaper than most purses.

If you’d like to see other purses I’ve made (not out of placemats) you can go here and here for the tutorials. See more of my outfit from these photos here.

Happy DIY-ing!signature
