I’ve never really been a fan of carrying around a backpack. I thought they were too bulky and I hate carrying too many things. My entire outlook changed when I received this tropical print backpack from High Sierra. Let me just start by saying there is a place for everything! There’s a slot for my laptop, a place to put my keys, pockets and zippers all throughout AND a removable pencil pouch. It has a drawstring closure that makes it easy to open and close too, with a magnetic snap closure for the flap. My favorite part about this backpack though is that it is comfortable to wear. The tropical print is very appealing too.
With classes starting up again, it’s important to be organized and have everything you need. A good backpack will help you tremendously. Along with classes, a backpack that doubles as a vacation bag and beach bag is ideal. I’ve toted this one around (so far) on a road trip, multiple beach trips, and out to coffee shops to do some work. I can always fit everything I need in it while also having everything organized and exactly where I expect it to be.
What’s in my backpack?
Here’s the deal:
- Laptop in the sleeve
- Wacom drawing pad, folder, camera case, and water bottle in the main compartment
- Sunglasses and note pad in pockets
- Wallet in zipper pocket
- Nook and laptop charger in front pocket with pencil case filled with pens, sharpies, hair ties, bobby pins, USB, and any small miscellaneous items I don’t want getting lost
- Keys in side pocket for easy access
Those are all of the main items that I usually carry in my backpack. Since I blog full time, I like to always have my laptop, camera, and folder with me to store receipts or papers related to my blog. My items may change from time to time depending on what I’m doing. If I’m going to the beach, I would have a towel or blanket, sunscreen, and a change of clothes in it. One item that I always have in my backpack no matter where I am going is a S’well water bottle. It keeps water cold for so long and has a twist on cap so that it won’t spill in my bag. I’ve taken this backpack on my latest beach trip to Venice, FL and I got caught in the rain and everything in the bag stayed dry. Best backpack ever? I think so.
I’m in love with my High Sierra backpack and carry it every chance I get. All of its compartments make life so much easier and less stressful. Time shouldn’t be spent digging around in your backpack looking for something, you should know exactly where it is.
