Happy Tuesday, my friends! I’m writing to you today as a fresh 22 year old. Yesterday was my birthday and I took the day to kind of relax and stay off of the internet as much as I could. I wanted to be in the moment.
Although I started my day by waking up to dog puke in my bed, my day got better as it went. I had brunch with my momma at the cutest little cafe then went shopping. My boyfriend, Will, had to work most of the day but when he came home he surprised me with dinner at The Capital Grille, which was delicious and definitely a surprise! My sister brought me home some macarons which I have never had before and have been wanting to try for soooo long. It was a relaxing day filled with trying new places and things. The Sunday before my birthday we had an ice cream party with family to celebrate as well.
In this post, I do want to include 22 things I want to do while 22. Then I’ll chat about this adorable outfit I have been wearing nonstop!

This pretty little striped dress is my new favorite thing to throw on. It’s the perfect color palette and goes oh so well with my Alterre sandals. It couldn’t be a better match, right? To add a coastal touch I like to pair it with my DIY seashell necklace. If you haven’t seen the tutorial on how to make one for yourself, I highly suggest you do. It’s super easy!
I’ve been living in dresses recently. Preferably ones that I don’t have to wear a bra in either (comfort is key, right?) I feel like this dress works for both summer and fall. It’s a good transition. I like to wear greys during this time of year. Once it gets a bit cooler, I’ll be wearing this dress with a denim jacket or my Nordic Beach jacket because it matches and is probably the comfiest thing I own. Unfortunately this dress is sold out on GG Boutique’s website, BUT they have some other really cute dresses in right now. The link is below, check them out!
I edited these photos with my preset “Forest” available in a 4 pack for Lightroom. Buy them here. (They’re only $13!)
