Jenny Bess of Sweet Teal Valentine's Look

Hello! I’m Jenny, the founder of Sweet Teal! I started this blog in August of 2014 with hopes of helping people create easy DIY projects, get styling ideas, and share the tons of pictures I take. I love to touch on topics such as life, dogs, and home decor. When I started Sweet Teal (originally Lace & Glaze), I had just moved out of my parents house and had zero furniture and no decorations for my new home. That is when I really started to get into making things and now about half of the things you find in my home are made by me! From my doormat to my DIY teepee to my mermaid shower curtain, I have transformed my home into a big DIY project and I am in love with it. I don’t just create home decor though, I love making things like necklacesshoes, and shirts. In addition to DIYs, I absolutely adore fashion. My style is laid-back, tropical, and bohemian.

I’m more of a lemonade kind of girl so that is where the lemon logo comes from. My handiest helper is my boyfriend, Will. He has helped me  by being my “photographer” and I put that in quotations because I set up the shot, fix the camera settings, and edit the photos. He just clicks the shutter button. 😉 He’s also my muscles on some of my bigger DIYs and he just plain out supports me.Jenny Bess of Sweet Teal wearing Jen's Pirate Booty

We also have two rescued and mischievous pups, Gunner and Colt. I would have 15 rescued dogs if I could. I’m obsessed with animals and I hope to own a rescue shelter at some point in my life. Fun fact: I’ve raised six ducks, a bunny, and multiple kitties in the past.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoy everything I share on here. If you aren’t already, you can follow me on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and YouTube! If you recreate any of my DIYs I would love to see them! Just include #SweetTealDIY when you post on social media or tag me @sweettealblog. I’ll be sure to like and comment to show some love back!

Be sure to check out my Etsy shop where I sell some of my handmade creations!
