I like to use every bit of the fabrics I buy. I hate seeing any go to waste if I know I can use it for something else. One great way to use up extra fabric is to make headbands. You can use pretty much any kind of fabric to do it and it doesn’t have to be stretchy. I used cotton fabrics for this headband and it stays on my head with no problem. I love it paired with a messy bun.

Cut the fabric according to how you want it to fit around your head. Make the ends pointed for a more finished look. Cut two pieces then sew them together, leaving one end open, then flip it right side out. I used a piece of printed fabric and a piece of white fabric. Mine is measuremnt
Sew along the edge all the way around, closing the open end. If you can, try to fold the edges of the open end in so that it is a clean edge, if not then it doesn’t really matter. You can just cut the edge to be even.
Two steps and you have a quickly made tie headband. I wear mine all the time and will definitely be making more out of all the scrap fabrics I have.
