Upon checking into Universal’s Aventura Hotel, you’re greeted with a sleek and contemporary lobby and beautifully modern decor. I’ve stayed at 4 of Universal Orlando Resort’s hotels and I’ve got to say that Aventura was my favorite thus far. It’s the coolest hotel I’ve ever stayed at and definitely one I’ll return to. It’s also situated in the perfect place for visiting Universal’s Volcano Bay because you can walk to it!
Staying at Universal’s Aventura Hotel
We stayed in room #1565, a deluxe with floor to ceiling windows and a panoramic view. You get views of all three parks! Aside from the views, my favorite part of the room was everything being controlled by an iPad. You could control the lights, TV, temperature, order room service, chat with the front desk, and more just from the iPad in the room. It’s a game changer in the hotel business.
You also get a nice view of the Loews Sapphire Falls Resort which I’ve stayed at before. You can read my review here.
The layout of this room was spot on. The bathroom was hidden away in the corner, there was amazing views while laying in each bed, a mini fridge, closet, lounge chair, TV with Hulu and Netflix capabilities, and desk area.
The food at Aventura Hotel is inspired by Asian and European cuisine. Urban Pantry is the main “food hall” located on the first floor of the hotel, next to the lobby. There are four different stations, including a roast station, pizza station, burger station, and Asian station. You order your food at a station and they will bring it to your table. There are also grab and go carts and a dessert station. I enjoyed salmon, a ramen bowl, and margarita pizza all from the Urban Pantry during our stay. Everything was delicious but I can’t stop thinking about that ramen bowl, I could eat it every single day.
In addition to the Urban Pantry, there is a Starbucks and bar right in the lobby and another bar by the pool. After 4pm, you can take a special elevator up to the 17th floor and enjoy the rooftop bar, Bar 17 Bistro. We ate the Bao Buns and I can’t recommend them enough! There is also comfortable seating and plenty of space for everyone to see the city.
If you’re not one to have fun at the bars, don’t worry there are plenty of other things to do at Aventura. With a pool that plays movies at night, to a splash pad for the kids, to a game room, you don’t even need to go to the theme parks for fun. Although you should since if you stay at a Universal hotel, you early admission to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and free transportation to and from the parks as well as resort-wide charging privileges using your room key.
There is a fitness center for all of you who love to workout (wish I was one of you) and a Universal Studios Store to stock up on souveniers and buy any toiletries you may have forgotten.
The best part just might be that Universal’s Aventura Hotel is affordable! Rooms start at $116 a night and that’s a great price for what you get when you stay here. You have delicious food on-site, plenty of things to do, and views you can’t get elsewhere. Plus, the parking garage has elevators that take you right to the lobby, making check-in and check-out a breeze. This is an Orlando hotel you don’t want to overlook.
