I bought my first pair of CAKES nipple covers in November of 2023. Guess what? I’m still using them and I’m still obsessed! They work just as well as they did when I first bought them. Since then, I’ve bought the CAKES triangles and the sticky CAKES circles. They are the best nipple covers I’ve ever used and I’ve used many different brands and types. It’s the only kind of nipple covers I recommend and have gotten my mom, sister, and friends hooked on them too. So here is my detailed CAKES body review.

The reason I love CAKES body so much? It’s painless, it sticks, and it’s invisible under clothing! The original grippy CAKES circles grip to your body’s natural heat. They aren’t sticky on their own. So that means you have to wear them with tight fitting tops because they will fall off otherwise. No worries though because they also make sticky ones!

Sticky CAKES Review

The sticky CAKES are a newer product they launched and I immediately bought some. The only downside of the originals is that you can’t wear them with loose fitting tops or they fall off. So when the stickies became available, I knew I had to try them.

I live in Florida and if you’ve ever been to Florida, you know it is hot and humid, especially in the summer. I’m talking dripping sweat just walking out to your car in the summertime. CAKES work in the heat! Sure, they get a bit sweaty and a little stinky but you just wash them after use and they are like new. On a recent trip to Key West is when I tried the stickies out for the first time and they worked so well, I never even wore a real bra during that trip. That was nice because it was too hot for a bra anyways.

I love the stickies because the part that actually goes on your nipple is the same material as the grippy ones so it doesn’t hurt. The sticky part has medical-grade adhesive and peels off easily and doesn’t irritate me like other sticky bras. I have very sensitive skin too and it doesn’t bother me one bit.

Grippy CAKES Triangles Review

The triangles were the second product I purchased because I wanted them to wear under swimsuit tops. I was breastfeeding at the time and most of my swimsuits didn’t have padding. I didn’t feel comfortable wearing zero padding and showing my goods to everyone. So the solution of the stickies was great because I could wear them without worry of them falling off while in a swimsuit. They stay hidden under triangle bikini tops because of the shape. They are made of silicone so that means they can get wet. I’ve actually worn all of my CAKES while swimming in both pools and the ocean and they have stayed on through it all while being unnoticeable. After trying them in all different types of situations, I decided a CAKES body review was due.

Breastfeeding nipple covers

While being waterproof, they are also sweat-proof. Even if I leaked milk while breastfeeding, that didn’t seem to affect them either! If you’ve ever breastfed, you know how your boobs can get and these were super handy to have on hand for it all in order to feel more confident myself.

Issues With Sticky Bras and Nipple Covers

Issues I typically have with other brands of sticky bras and nipple covers include irritation, too sticky, not sticky enough, and noticeable under clothing. Sticky bras tend to be too sticky and hurt to peel off after wear that you never want to wear them again. The sticky ones always lost their stick after a few wears too. The ones that don’t irritate tend to be noticeable under clothes.

A lot of nipple covers are noticeable under clothes because they aren’t seamless enough. I’ve tried covers that look like flower petals and you can clearly see the petal border through tight tops. I’ve also tried some that are round but too thick and just look like big nipples peaking through shirts, which is the opposite of what you’re trying to achieve with wearing them in the first place! CAKES are completely seamless and do not show through even the tightest of tops. I know that because I’ve tried them with all different types of clothing. The hardest tops to wear are seamless nylon tops like these ones because they are so smooth that they show even the thinest of lines from undergarments. Really your only option for undergarments with these types of tops is nothing or CAKES.

My Honest CAKES Body Review of their Silicone Covers

I am not being paid to write this blog post. No one reached out to me from the company to write a CAKES body review. I actually found them through my own research when I stopped wearing real underwire bras when I was pregnant with my first baby. Boobs change size when you get pregnant and you get uncomfortable in certain clothing and I just found bralettes more comfortable to wear. Then I breastfed for 2 years and didn’t fit into any of my pre-baby bras. I ended up just wearing bralettes all the time or wore Lilypadz. They were my first pair of nipple covers that I actually liked and didn’t leak with while breastfeeding. But they were noticeable through certain types of clothing and I wanted something better.

I came across CAKES body and didn’t order at first but then finally decided to give them a try when my second pair of Lilypadz wore down within a year and I needed a replacement. I ordered CAKES instead and once I first wore them, I never wore Lilypadz ever again. Never did I even touched any of my other sticky bras because I found the winner. I’ve been loyal to CAKES since and have yet to try another product that works as well or better. Plus, I’m still on my first pair of original CAKES after almost 2 years.

Other CAKES products

In addition to the circles and triangles, there are also CAKES cleavage bras and CAKES with volume. The volume one adds 1/2 a cup of volume to small boobs, which I need to try now that I’m not breastfeeding anymore. There’s also grippy CAKES with nips that were made in collaboration with the breast cancer community to empower women post-mastectomy. So yes, there is a CAKES for you, whatever your body type.

These nipple covers come in three different colors and three different sizes so you’re likely to find one to fit and blend well with your body.

CAKES discount

I gifted a pair to my mom and she went out on her own and bought more after trying them. My sister has them, my friends have them too and everyone loves them. When I signed up for their affiliate program after my first purchase, it was in order to include a discount in my blog post about bra alternatives. So if you want to try and love them too, you can use this link and get a discount off your purchase. Leave a comment below if you’ve tried CAKES or plan to try them!
