Hello! I’m Jenny, the founder of Sweet Teal! I help people create DIYs, get organized, and get inspiration. I do this by sharing tutorials of how to make things and do things and giving them the tools to find the time to do it. I do it because I beleive you can have the life and home of your dreams on a budget without compromising your personal style. I started this blog in August of 2014, originally Lace & Glaze, and I had just moved out of my parents house and had zero furniture and no decorations for my new home. That is when I really started to get into making things and now about half of the things you find in my home are made by me! I have transformed my home into a big DIY project and I am in love with it and believe you should be in love with your home since you spend so much of your time there. I also love making things like necklaces, shoes, and clothes.
The name Sweet Teal comes from my favorite color: TEAL! It also plays off of “sweet tea” even though I hate sweet tea. I’m more of a lemonade kind of girl so that is where the lemon comes from. My handiest helper is my husband Will. He’s also my muscles on some of my bigger DIYs and he just plain out supports me.
We had a baby in 2020. Then another in 2023!
