One of the most fun parts after getting engaged is celebrating with your girlfriends and asking them to be your bridesmaids and maid of honor. Putting together bridesmaid boxes and gifting them to your girls is a nice little treat and perfect way to ask them, “Will you be my bridesmaid?”

It shows your best friends that you love them and want them to be a part of your big day.

I have two amazing friends who have been my besties for over for over 10 years, plus a killer sister. It was no question who my maid of honor (ahem, sister) and two bridesmaids would be. I like to keep my circle small with only good people and I can’t wait to have them in my wedding.

It can be a bit tricky narrowing it down if you have a lot of great friends but once you do, it’s time to ask!

Boxes
Shredded paper filler

A great tip is to buy things in sets. I’ve included links to bridesmaid specific sets in the above links. You can save some money and also make it easier on yourself.

I bought bath bombs in a 6 piece set from Target and split them evenly. I also bought a set of face masks. The napkins are from Target and thought I they’d be cute to include since the point of these boxes is to celebrate together.

Once I saw these light blue heart boxes at Target, I got to work and starting customizing my bridesmaid boxes. The key is to pick a theme (usually the theme your wedding is going to be). Mine is obviously beach-y so I went with a treasure chest to reveal the question and a few tropical knick knacks.

I found these Florida glasses at Home Goods and when I saw they had “Key West” on them, I bought them right away! My wedding is going to be in Key West so I thought it was the perfect momentum.

Will You Be My Bridesmaid? Boxes

They key to great bridesmaid boxes are making them personal. Find little things that remind you of the person you are gifting the box to. Do they love Tito’s vodka? Get them a tiny bottle. Do they love the smell of fresh linen? Get them a candle of that scent.

When you’re done putting together your boxes, set a date to meet up so that you can give each person their box. Set a lunch date or have a girls’ wine night and give everyone their box at the same time!

You can include their save the dates too so that you don’t have to mail them separately. Stumped on where to purchase save the dates? Don’t worry, I have a post all about that process and how to make it easy. Click here.

Are you getting married soon? Will you make bridesmaid boxes? Tell me in the comments!
