Love is in the air and the best way to spread it around to those you love is by telling them. You can do it with a card, your voice, show them, or just simply spoil them with a trip to Hawaii. I’m choosing to say it with cards, pop-up Valentine’s Day cards that is!
If you’ve seen my DIY Christmas cards, then you know just how cute pop-up cards can be. It’s a nice surprise for whoever is receiving the card and it shows that you put extra thought into it.
These DIY Valentine’s Day cards are so easy to make, you can knock a bunch of them out in no time at all. I made this one in about 10 minutes. It’s a great Valentine’s Day project for kids too.
step
one
The first step is to fold a piece of paper like an accordion. You can see my easy trick for doing this evenly in this post. Then cut it like above.
step
two
Using a glue stick, fold the heart back up and attach the two ends to the middle of another piece of paper folded in half to make a card. It should look like the above image.
step
three
Cut out the letter I, Y, O, U and then glue them down around the pop-up heart. You can also cut out smaller hearts and glue them around to fill up space. I folded two of mine and only glued the middles down so the edges popped out.

Black, red, & pink construction paper
Glue stick (these are the best, no wrinkles!)

Why not throw in a little gift with your Valentine’s Day cards? You can easily make this strawberry and lemon sugar scrub and put it in a jar with a bow wrapped around it. It’s the perfect gift for your girlfriends or pretty much anyone because exfoliating and smelling good is something we can all use a little of.
Another thing you could do is have a little photoshoot with your significant other then make a photo album with your favorites and gift it to them.
